Interactive Art

LightPool is a motion-activated LED ball pool that made it's debut at Burning Man 2019. It started as a small concept pool in Stephanie's living room, and grew into a large-scale interactive art installation. The pool was suspended in an industrial grade cargo net, in the upper sphere of a 20' geodesic dome. By elevating the pool, guests could view the waves of light from below as well as inside the piece. More information at

Murals

Currently in progress, Stephanie is painting a mural in her home to feed her creative appetite. She lives in a mid-century modern structure affectionately nick-named "The Glitter Factory" and has long envisioned a throwback supergraphic that trails throughout the space. The trio of colors snakes up and down the ceilings and walls, through an abstract matisse-inspired jungle, and finally reaches the end of it's rainbow as it trails down the body of a rollergirl.

Another current project, is a chinoiserie themed plaster relief mural inside of a 1965 airstream globetrotter. The background is layered with several shades of pearlescent paint, and then topped with leaves and branches painted with color-shifting iridescent acrylics to give the illusion of a dense forest. This creates a multi-dimensional effect as different layers become more prominent depending on lighting and viewing position within the trailer. Finally, the plaster trees will actually serve as a light source. Ultra-thin led strips will be embedded behind the trees, which will illuminate the branches from behind.

Stephanie's first mural was a piece commissioned by Travelocity for a commercial in 2016. She had one day to execute the 30' wide mural on a building located at Delongpre and Cahuenga Blvd. in Hollywood, CA

She used spray paint and painter's tape to quickly generate the geometric shapes and drop shadows. Sadly the building was demolished to make way for new construction.
